Lightbulb brake lights HELP

I have an 01 RAM and have no brake lights checked and replaced fuses and bulbs, brakelight switch, and eliminated the trailer lights. Still I have no lights, any suggestions?

Check the ground wires and the sockets themselves. Some where on this forum there is wiring diagrams too.

All other lights work, including turn signals and hazards. There is no electrical feed back through the system. Normally a bad ground would effect more than just brake lights.

this could be a hard one. the brake light and turn signals share the same element in the bulb, but i have no idea where the 2 different feeds join together. i don't know if its near the front of the truck, and they share a line to the rear, or if its 2 different wires to the rear, that join up around the tail light somewhere.

here's the good news. download this 01 service manual. it has complete and accurate wiring diagrams, unlike the complete BS in the haynes manual.

be sure and do all the simple things first, and don't leave ANY fuses out. i wasted 4 weeks and $200 on my wipers over a damn 50 cent fuse #9 (power locks), and i don't even have power locks ! there are fuses in end of dash drivers side and pdc beside battery.
