Any vehicle I own gets used as a truck, LOL!

I had a Jeep Wagoneer (XJ) that used to carry all my tools in the back area behind the rear seat, and all the lumber and ladders up on the roof.

And my first car, a 89 Geo Spectrum was used as a truck MANY times. Bottomed out the rear a few times that I can remember.

Waiting for the local junk yard to get one, or have enough money to buy a custom one. $1200 is a lot of money right now, LOL!

Thanks though. It needs some more TLC, that's for sure.

Nope. I haven't even touched it. I guess I could look at it and think of something to try....

Well, because I am home from work anyway, and bored out of my mind, I went ahead and tried something on the bumper.

We have some containers on the property filled with my aunts things after she passed. And since I knew they wouldn't go anywhere no matter how hard I pulled with my Dodge (since it is only a 2WD right now, after all), I decided this would be the perfect anchor point for my recovery strap:

Of course, I did one test tug, just to check everything out. Notice that the strap was all twisted. I fixed that, don't worry.

And here is the end results after two semi large tugs:

And the aftermath of the hook that was on the container:

It still looks awful, but at least it's better then it was before.

I wasn't too worried about ripping the bumper off. Hitting a deer at 60 pretty much tells ya how strong that little flimsy piece of metal is.

Besides, as soon as the strap got taught, the truck stopped, and only spun tires on the ice. Gotta love 2WD
