That's because your plenum gasket is probably shot! Have you checked it?

no i havent checked it. It is way to cold here in michigan to check it right now, but the truck doesnt eat oil to bad, so i don't know

i actually just had to replace them in the freezing cold about a week and a half ago. I'll take some pics of them i threw them on the work bench

Ok, so I drove the truck another 1000 miles and the rough idle came back. I got fed up and pulled a plug, and sure as chit the damn thing was back to .6 gap. I am done with plat plugs went and got these instead

I usually use Champions in my vehicles but have used Auto-lite with no problems. Never tried the platinum ones.
Back when we had point ignitions we figured on a complete tune up every 10 to 12 thousand miles. Also when I started driving a grease job and oil change every 1000 miles.
