Default Fog lights no longer work

The weekend before last I got stuck out in a blizzard and ended up leaving my truck where she lay until the next day. I know that the lights were working when I was outside trying to dig her out, up until the end. The next day my buddy pulled me out backwards w/ his Dakota (because my tranny finally gave up the ghost during the struggle) and I drove straight to Fargo Transmission.

Now that I finally have it back I notice that the fog lights do not work. What I've done so far is check the relay (swapped it with the horn one, and I can hear it click when the fog lights are turned on) and visually checked the integrity of the wires. The 15 amp fuse in the PDC appears to be ok-- not burned out at all. I haven't gone after the wiring w/ a test light yet because I don't have one and can't get one cuz it's Xmas.

Anyway, the plug where the fog light wiring harness connects to the vehicle wiring harness (right on the back of the bottom of the radiator cross member) is nice and tight, and the wires don't appear to be pulled out. I checked the wiring on the back of the bumper and it looks fine too. I pulled the bulbs and the filaments look fine (which I know isn't all that reliable but I see no breaks or deformations). Assuming I don't have power making it from the relay to the wiring harness, where can I look? It seems like a fairly simple configuration but I'm not sure what exists between the plug under the cross member and the power distribution center.

Any ideas?

Thanks guys

Chris

Get a volt meter, and see if you even have power at the lamps. If not, start poking around and find where you do.

If you have voltage at the lamp, its the bulb. My guess would be moisture damage.

Sounds good. Moisture damage is likely; the snow was really packed in there. I plan on chasing down the voltage tomorrow. I didn't actually pull the connection under the truck apart today but will tomorrow while testing, and I'll pack it with dielectric grease.

Fun times.

Thanks for the advice guys.
