i was just wondering what type of lube everyone has used ..... i was thinking royal purple for the front and back diff but what type to use in the transfercase???? some help please my fellow mopar lovers

 

I am not a big 4wd kind of guy but royal purple or mobile1 synthetic sounds about right for the x-fer case. Seems like I saw a tv show that used royal purple in a x-fer case maybe on spike tv?

 

use the same ATF+4 in t-case and auto transmission.
i use 80w90 or 85w90 in front and rear diff.

 

I put Mobil 1 synthetic ATF in mine. It made no noticeable difference over the stuff that undoubtedly had 88000 miles that was in there, but the old stuff certainly looked like $hit. I've never had ATF all over the place before. That stuff smells to high heaven.

 

90w gear lube with about 200k on it smells even worse.

 

I'm not looking forward to being introduced to that smell :P

 

I used ATF 4 in my T Case and Lucas 80-90 W in my Difs.
