Angry Hypertech Programmer?????????

Why can't I find a Hypertech programmer, or any other programmer, for a 96 Ram 1500? They all say 97-??, what changed between 96 and 97?

Does that offer the same features as the Hypertech? I would love to be able to read my fault codes, set my Speedo to match my tires, and gain some fuel economy...

It is not a programmer. It replaces your stock pcm. I dont believe that they make a programmer for the 96.
