Default Return Policy on installed Stereo

So I installed my new JVC Stereo, and I don't like the sound. My Sony Explode sounds 10x better. The Sony has adjustment for Bass, Treble, Loud On Loud off, a much better driving sound. Only it's a cassette!!! I want to play Disc MP3, WMA, with a aux input for my DJ mp3 player. So I got me a JVC with every thing I need but the sound is not something I can accept. So if I pull the unit out package it back to somewhat like I received it will they take it back. Remember, I installed it.
One thing I could count on with my Sony, some fine bass.

I guess that would depend on where you bought it and what the return policy is.

Bestbuy is where I purchased the unit. I installed it after reading all the install post's. Sure was a piece of cake. Great site, great help.

I think you got 30 days to return it.

More than likely they'll just give you an in-store credit. If they do, I'd say try a Pioneer. They produce high quality head units. I have one in my truck and the sound out of my stock infinity speakers seemed to me a better quality with the Pioneer than with the stock head unit if you can believe it or not. Just a thought. That and it does all the stuff that your old Sony does and a few more. This is the head unit I have if you want to read up on it: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...rs/DEH-P5900IB

My wife bought me an Alpine deck on November 19 for Xmas from Best Buy. I installed the deck myself and did not like it. I uninstalled and brought it back to Best Buy and exchanged it for a better unit. The extend the return policy for the holiday season. I could have gotten her money back but I got a Pioneer DEH4000 and I really like it.

I work at Best Buy, and you guys are correct.

The extended return policy for the holidays is only if you got a gift receipt with it, the idea being its an extended policy for gifts only. If you got a gift receipt, you have 30-days from Christmas Day to return it for in-store credit/exchange.

30-day exchange period from date of purchase if you don't have a gift receipt. If you want a refund, it'll be a 15% restocking fee.

+1 for Pioneer. As long as I've been alive, JVC has never been known for a high quality product when compared to other brands. That applies to stereos, car audio, home theater, etc. I had a Sony Xplod system in my 1995 Dakota when I traded it, and have a Pioneer now in my Ram. If you liked the Sony, you should love a Pioneer. Just remember, when it comes to car audio, you usually get what you pay for.

Thanks Bloodknight, Vader, I did return it and just finished the install. A PIONEER!!! They did not have the DEH-5900 but the DEH-4000 was in stock and is now sitting in my dash. You guys are right the sound is super compare to my Sony. Now to read the book. It does a lot with very few buttons.
