Default Sport Foglights

Driving into work this morning and noticed i had a "fog light" out. (couldnt find this in a search) Are the bulbs in these replaceable and if so does anyone know the bulb number for these? Figured id ask and pick it up on my way home rather than driving home, crawling under and checking and than driving back into town. Thanks

Yep, there replaceable. The street glow ones I bought once were 886's, not sure if that number is interchangeable with others. The harness portion is on a 90 degree angle compared to the light bulb.

Tap on the light a few times. Mine quit working once and I tapped on it and it has been working good ever since.

They are replaceable, I don't know the # and the FSM doesn't give it for some reason. But the parts store should be able to look it up for you.

And btw, replace both of them.

I already gave her a "kick" as i walked into work. Just checked the Sylvania website and they say there 896's. I'll keep checking around but at least i have a starting point and know there replaceable. Thanks

Given a choice I would go with the Sylvania's.

Ok so we got Sylvania, anyone else have anything else? Bad or good that they have tried? I usually go with Sylvania just cuz thats what autozone sells here.

Osram/Sylvania is the most reliable product you can buy. Don't even worry about it.

Sylvania is the not the most reliable. I've had one Sylvania product fail on me after another. Taillight bulbs I've purchased before (two in a row!) failed on me after six months a piece in my 1995 Dakota. A GE bulb lasted me a year and a half until a traded it in.

Sylvania used to be good, until they started selling their stuff everywhere like cheap candy. Kind like how Champion spark plugs used to be top of the line for many a vehicle; not anymore. Sylvania is found everywhere now unfortunately, and their stuff isn't the worst, but close enough.

Kind of like Walmart. Just because you find them everywhere doesn't necessarily mean they have the best stuff.

GE is a much more reliable bulb, for example. Ever since the Dakota, I've used GE light bulbs in my vehicles taillights, signal lights, etc. (pretty much everything except for headlight bulbs) and I can't recall a single one failing on me yet. Phillips is also good, although I don't know if they make other bulbs besides the headlight variety.

I picked up some Philips bulbs at WalMart the last time mine went out. Changed out the working one first, then, when changing the bad one dropped the darn thing and had to go back and get one more. They've worked great for 4+ years now.
