Question Wind noise and window vent visors

You guys that run window vent visors:

Does it reduce or increase highway wind noise? My truck is so damn loud on the highway with wind noise it drives me nuts. There's gotta be a way to bring it down.

My friend got them a few years ago on his Silverado and neither of us noticed any difference. Slightly less windy in the cab, but that was about it.

They rot to **** pretty quick also.

I didn't notice any difference in wind noise after I installed my vent visors. I haven't ever really noticed any wind noise at all, though. I mostly hear engine compartment/exhaust noise and the radio.

I've only had my vent visors on my truck for about a year but they lasted for many years on the wife's old Maxima. I had to replace the double-sided tape on a couple of them after a few years but that was it.

i noticed a little less wind noise, but picked up more road noise reflecting up into them.if that makes since. i put them on everything i own. i hate it when i donnt have a little fresh air coming in. and they do keep the rain out. plus i smoke.

i have had many sets, with problems only once. the one visor didnt stick good. and that was my fault. its all about the preperation. and they stick better when the temps are hot outside. atleast thats what the custum car shop told me. which makes since. the one that messed up, was a set i got for the old lady for christmas a few years ago, and it was pretty cold out when i put them on.

So those that have them:

which do you prefer: tape-on, or in-channel? Any brands over others?
