Talking Todays project- new exhaust system

I am just about done welding up my exhaust and am excited to "hear the power"

I had a custom pipe made for after the cat to the muffler with a bung fitting for $30. I replaced the cat with a magnaflow ($85) and got a flowmaster 40 series ($60). I am using the original tailpipe since it was in good shape.

Just waitin for the mig to cool down some and I'll finish her up and post a video on youtube.

Jeg's sells Magnaflow HF Cats for $83.99. Unless you can get it locally from someone you know, that's probably one of the best prices you'll find. Most exhuast shops mark them up to $100+.

Sounds like a great plan! My Flowmaster Super 44 came in tonight so I will most likely get it installed tomorrow and post up a video....was wondering though, how much difference would that magnaflow cat that everyone speaks of make paired with a Dual Exhaust Flowmaster Super 44? Louder? Or more power? and by louder would that be in the truck or outside the truck?

I went to have my MagnaFlow cat installed today and the places I stopped at tried to talk me out of it. Three shops with cash in hand and no install. One shop said it would throw codes with the high flow>

I'll try again tomorrow.
