slop in steering

Default slop in steering

my 97 ram 2wd has been in the shop today getting a front end alignment becasue it pulled toward the right real bad but it also had play in the steering well after i picked the truck up today i forgot to ask if he noticed ant play in the steering ,now i hevnt owned this truck for very long and i reall think the gear box could be worn or something any thoughts would help ,truck doesnt pull to the right anymore but the steering just isnt tight like i think it shoald be

welcome to df.
check for where the play is. in the box only, or in the tie rod ends, etc.
you can tighten the box up some. see here.

thanx for the tips guys ill try it once the weather outside gets betteralso wantwed to say hi too Dakota ram ,i have talked to you on the ford truck forum thanx guys for the help again
