Do you have the factory original radio? Did you use an adapter harness to connect your JVC radio to the factory stereo connectors? Sometimes there is a wiring diagram on a label on the radio which would explain what each wire color means.

You lost the settings to your radio because you didn't connect constant-power to it...both of the power leads you connected to a switched ignition (accessory) signal.

You might wind up needing a shop to make this right...

If you haven't cut off the factory connectors to the radio from wiring harness, then go to a Circuit City or Best Buy and purchase the radio wiring adapter for your Ram. Make the connections from the JVC's harness to that adapter harness, and then plug it into your factory wiring.

This is the best way to complete the install. The adapter will have EIA color standards for the connections (power, speaker, ground, etc.) and will make it a breeze to complete the install of your JVC replacement radio.

Default blown fuse

bourret, I am having the same problem you had while hooking an amplifier up to my sony head unit. Some where I must have let two naked wires touch and it blew that same fuse. Could you tell me which fuse you had to replace to save me the trouble of finding it.

Thanks
