Question Truck won't run.

Will not continue to run unless you give it gas. If you continue to give it gas it will start to run really rough, knocking, pinging, and surging. You can smell fuel and none of the gauges work. When it stalls the fuel pump continues to run and the relays will click....

Please help. Has anyone even heard of anything like this?

Thanks

Welcome to DF. Any chance you can tell us a little info about your truck? All of it for example.

Could be your pcm. My moms van did that when the pcm was shot but it just would not idle just shut rite off if your foot wasn't on the gas

It could also just be the IAC valve, but that's not going to make the gauges go dead unless he's means after it stalls.

Default Thanks

It's a 2001 5.2 318. Manual 5 speed.....less then 100,000 miles. Everything is stock.
I thought pcm right off the bat, but since it's a non-refunable part I wasn't sure if I should try that first.
I've tried to unhook the sensors and run it, but nothing seems to change. I've tried shooting relays and haven't had any luck. It's the weirdest problem I've ever encountered, I want to think that I can fix it before having to pay someone else to do it......I work on airplanes I should be able to do this.
