I've heard a few people have tackled it... but never ran across a clear write up. I was interested in this swap myself at one point. Basically your best bet is to find a duplicate of your truck meaning 2wd or 4wd (whichever yours is) and the same year. In addition to swapping the trans, pedal, etc... you will need to swap the PCM from the donor truck which is why the same year truck is really suggested. Sometimes the cluster and pcm's of different years won't communicate and will recieve a "no bus" error (ask silver dodge)

actually I heard somewhere that all trucks have the hole for the stick to come up from the manual trans...then you'd need the plastic that surrounds the stick thats probably all fairly easy to do...the bitch would be putting in the new pedals for the clutch and then the smaller brake pedal too.

Not impossible but could be pretty challenging

If you really wanna do it ,go for it and make a write up on it!
I'd like to see it done

i did it to my dodge ram it wasnt too bad... first of all you need the whole pedal assembly from under the dash and they just swap out... then you plug in your clutch pedal to the glug thats already there under the dash so you cant start your truck without the clutch pushed in... there is no hole in floor you have to cut that out yourself but not hard to do... the nv4500 and nv3500 are the same length as the 46re and 47re so you dont need to worry about driveshafts just make sure that your transfercase has the same spline count as whatever 5 speed your going with... on the 5 speed v8s there is an insert into the crankshaft for the pilot bearing which u need to have cuz the pilot bushing will not fit into the crankshaft without it. im pretty sure the sensor above the fly wheel and flex plate are the same so those dont need to be switched... i didnt need to change computers but i did swap out my wiring harness and i just have a bunch of codes from the computer looking for the automatic transmission that isnt there but it runs fine... theres already a hole in your firewall for your clutch slave cylinder and theres 2 indents on the firewall below the windshield for your reservior... im pretty sure thats all i ran into anything else you need to know just give me a buzz and help out in anyway i can
