Does anyone have a link, write-up, or other information on how to totally remove a factory alarm from a 1997 Ram 1500 (5.9L)? It is the one with the small two LED, two button control box that adheres to the dash.

I have a factory installed security system in my 98. And there is nothing adhered to the dash. There is a hidden disable/reset button. Your's sounds like an aftermarket system to me, unless they dealer installed an after market system for you or the PO, which would not be a factory installed system.

 

It has the Mopar logo on the 'control box' and also is totally seemless with the OEM key fob.
