I'm glad you are ok and I'm sorry your truck got busted up. However, I'd like to comment on some of the replies. Being a truck driver for a number of years, there are some places you just have to park like that. It sucks that you were unable to see beyond the truck before getting hit, but sometimes you just have to put a truck in a spot like that to deliver. Its up to the drivers around to use extra caution to avoid accidents. Sucks, but **** has to get delivered somehow.

Dude, I'm sorry to hear about the truck.. I wish I could see the pics of it, though not sure If I want to see the carnage.. But, looks like if your were trying to turn left, you should have went around the parking lot, and came out behind the truck, if you were trying to turn right, you should have turned out into the shoulder, then merged over to the left. I know it's too late now, but just letting you know for future reference. I teach a driver's safety course for fleet drivers every now and then. And it's most important to make sure that you rely ONLY on you, not anyone else to be aware.. Drive like everyone wears blindfolds, and you'll be safe.. Me being a 2 wheeler too, I always think of myself as invisible.. it makes things allot easier.. THat still doesn't mean I haven't been in accidents, but it has kept them to a minimum.. Good luck getting another truck, and your young enough to bounce back easily from this one..

 

That sucks, man. Now would be an excellent time to pull that motor, set it on a stand, and build the crap out of it! Glad you are okay, though... At least you were in a truck and not a small car or something.
