Do some reading on Kn filters .. No hp gain or mpg gain.. then go to your local parts store and hold the filter up to the light , see the little holes in it ?? thats what i want for my truck...Not !!! another good site is bobistheoilguy google it , intresting read..

 

Looks like it's for the diesel engine.
Some of those filters are way to flimsy and won't stand up to the suction from a diesel's turbo.
