Yes, epecially after the tube has cracked for the third or fourth time or the nex time you have to remove it and that useless baffling to do anything to the motor, radiator,A/C, etc.

If you went thru water deep enough to completely soak the round filter, what would have happened to your engine if it sucked all that water thru the K&N tube??? How much water got to your coil and up on your dist. cap??? IMO the round filter is the highest mounted filter, and its a lot harder to completely soak it with water and a lot harder to water lock your engine.

does the little filter that replaces the breather hose come with the round filter setup or does it have to be bought extra? and what is the technical name for it?

You have to buy a crankcase breather separately. Every parts store I've ever been to has them, usually in the "performance" aisle (AKA Ricer Alley) in the very back by the muscle car dress up accessories. I believe it's a 1" neck on the breather. I can't recall for sure though, I always just take in the old one. I usually buy a new one every year around on my forum join date anniversary.

Random question about the round aircleaner, do they make one that still has the breather port hookup, with me being in cali I cant mod the intake system to much so I need one that is CARB legal, or do you think I could get away with modding the aircleaner to accept the vacume line?

Cool Go Round!!!!

Hey CSX fan there is risks with everything we do with our trucks some greater than others. If you play some times you pay!! At least thats what I hear. I say go with it, I did this to mine 3 months ago and I love it. When I was hunting in November and December I went into some decent mud and water on the strip jobs and I only got some splashes of muddy water on my chrome hat nothing to bad. I did not hit the holes hard by any means though. Anyway thats my 2Cents.
