Default Loud air sound with throttle

So guys...Im starting to feel like my truck is ultimately getting tired...as much work as I put into it it gets a little sad when something goes wrong, but there is a new problem that i would like to ask about that maybe someone might know the answer to, my truck is suddenly making all kinds of noise...but it sounds like air, but it doesnt seem like its coming from the exhaust or intake, and I have lost all kinds of power...and my gas mileage has just suddenly gone to S***!!!! Like I can watch my gas guage just drain of gas now...and it does it when I just rev or when I am actually moving, it just gets louder as more power goes through the engine!! Any Ideas guys, I know there are a few very reputable mechanics on this site that know a lot about these magnum engines and the issues that they occasionally have! any help would be greatly appreciated

Have you done anything to the truck lately?

My guess is maybe you have a vacuum line that has come undone. Also, check that your air cleaner assembly is not cracked, is installed snuggly, and that the gasket between it and the TB is in place.

Could also be the fan clutch, sometimes they make a huge air whoosh sound when the engine is rev'd when they go bad.

It does sound like it is coming from the fan clutch, I wasnt sure if that was the sound it would make though, would that rob power though?? I think you are right about the fan clutch, but I think maybe I have multiple issues

mine does the same thing i wish i could figure out what it is. I know i have a vaccum leak since i have the crazy vents, but this is when i give it gas its making a sucking noise from the intake. What all could it be since i also get horrible gas mileage and have no power

I have a stock dodge intake, and I checked it, it does sound like its coming from the fan though when I press the throttle from inside the engine to check, so my next question is, where do I get an e-fan, now is good time to upgrade I guess and are there any good write-ups on it??

Oh, in your sig it says you have a K&N intake. I guess you mean K&N filter.
