In general, I would say oil additives are not needed if you are using a quality oil.

That being said, several members rave about MMO and RESTORE. I've not used MMO in oil, but I have used RESTORE. Unless you're having slight compression issues, I don't know how much it really helps, and if your compression issues are severe, I doubt it would help at all.

I use a quality synthetic and nothing else. If you ask which syn oil is best, I'll have to slap you for opening the beat-to-death-topic jar.

 

I tried restore... I couldn't tell a difference... I'm running Royal Purple 10w-30.. I've notcie slightly cooler temps in and smoother running engine thru alll RPM rangers... I avoid oil additives because they can screw up your selas... unless it's leaking oil like crazy.. I would just use a high quality fully syn oil
