Default Help with lift/tires.

Hi everyone I am new to the site. Have been following a couple posts on here and decided to make an account. Anyway, here is my situation.

I may be purchasing a 1995 Dodge Ram.
It looks like it has a 4" lift right now.
I don't know if it is a Susp. or Body lift.
4x4.

Either way it will probably be replaced, depending on what it is.

Anyway, I am wondering what lift, work should be done for it to be fitted with, I'm thinking about some 36s.
I don't know if I'll be replacing the rims so this is still kind of unspecific. Just looking for some input.

Looking for cheap yet functional. It would be a daily driver, I live in Florida so no snow, just a little mud here and there.

If anyone has any suggestion on tires, wheels, bolt ons or anything else please let me know.

well il be thie first to tell ya, these trucks sit pretty high compared to the other brands( ford and chevy) when they are stock. it also depends on your model.

one way to see if you have a body lift is to look in between the frame and the body, easiest is through the rear fenderwell, and see if there is a big gap or nothing at all. if there is, you have a body lift. size can very.

on or two ways to tell if it is a suspention lift is look on top of the front springs, it shoudl be relitively skiny in a bracket tht holds the spring, if there is a spacer, you could have a leveling kit, or a small lift. in the rear look at the leaf springs, there should be four "leafs" if there are five or more, you have a lift, if there are four, it i stock.

if you could it would be easier fi you could try to post a pic or two of the truck on here with your tire size, and alomst anyone on here could tell ya.

Yeah, I would be able to tell if I saw the truck in person. As I have not yet all I can do is look at this picture.

I will be going to look at this truck today. The current owner doesn't know anything about the lift, besides the fact... that there is one. Ha.

What size tires are those? In my opinion it looks close to stock if those are stock tires. Maybe a leveling kit.

But hell, I'm just guessing off a picture like you are.

I don't know the tire size.
