I thought that Delphi is what they put in Chebbies? Horrible fuel pumps IMO.

Why? because it's in a Chevy? Well, it's in your truck too.

I wouldn't bash any part that was put in another truck unless it's clearly inferior.

No, because Chebbies are notorious for having bad fuel pumps. Or so i've lived through.

Yeah, it is what it is. If I can't reproduce it, I'm not going to worry about it until it goes.

It seems to be all of the trucks with Fuel Injection. Includes TBIs, S10s, Full sizes, MFI, SFI, CPI, etc......

well, I'm almost certain it's the fuel pump now.

Today it started pinging at the slightest throttle, and then 10 yards down the road it would clear up again with no ping. Then I'd stop and it might or might not happen again.

This happened a total of 10 times on the way home from work. I think the pump's not holding pressure.

You have to rig up the pressure tester so you can see it while you are driving. A block of wood(so the hood doesn't pinch the hose) and a bungy (to keep it down)for the hood. And elec.ties around the gauge and the wiper arm or something. Don't go on the highway of course.

I think I can fit the hose under the cowl, I don't have that weatherstripping there anymore. The guy at NAPA that I buy all my parts from is going to loan me his personal gauge tomorrow. He even gave me the best non-employee discount he could on the new fuel pump.
