straight pipe
Definition of a "straight pipe" or "straight pipes":
No mufflers, no catalytic converters. Pipe(s) from manifolds to the exit point.
Thought I'd point that out since some of you seem confused. It is not a straight pipe or pipes unless you have no cat and no mufflers.
Some have done the "out the side" trick, will be loud, but shouldn't be to bad since you would still have the cat. Go with whatever makes you happy, as you are the one that has to drive it and be happy with how it sounds.

yeah im pretty sure you can mess up your valves without enough backpressure on top of the truck running like sh*t in the first place thats what i had single cat no muffler out the side it was ridiculously loud ran like garbage and got bother by neighbors and cops alot....hey its up to you i had it for like a month and hated every minute of it....slap a catback on it and youll be set dude
im quite happy with my exhaust it took a lil bit of work and its different from everyone else....but you could just get a normal catback to the rear bumper or stock exit itll sound good run good and u wont have to worry about not enough backpressure and running crappy
yea that or u could go get u a flowmaster put under there i have my 99 and i took a 40 series under there and dumped it under the bed that beast will rattle the windows it pisses my dad off but i love it : )
well i came up with two other options, 1 a hi-flow cat, 2.5-3, then to a super 44 and co me out with just a 3" single, or true duals with two hi-flow cats, and two smaller mufflers...not sure what the best thing to do would be, either way id like to bring them out in front of the rear tires
my truck has it in front of the passenger side rear tire look at my pics. its a pice together form my truck and an 04 hemi. and is there anyway to fit the problem of less back pressure?
well i guess im a total idiot, ive never even looked at my exaust, i guess i never thought it was anything special, just never got around to it, well i go this morning, I DONT EVEN HAVE A MUFFLER, cat, then y pipe to duals at the back, so i MAY just cut it at the y pipe and run a single 3 inch in front of the rear tire, you think it would get louder? i might put the hi-flo cat on, and the single 3" im not too sure yet
yeah cut it off at the y pipe if you wanted a put a single flowmaster forty or if you want a raspy sound put a cherry bomb extreme its there actual muffler not a glass pack either of those will sound good
