Default PCM reset

I just disconnected the battery and the pcm in hopes of resetting it to see if maybe that helps with the problems I am having, just trying all possible avenues before I finally have to bite the bullet and take it into the shop, which I hate doing... so I was wondering if anyone knew how long you have to leave it disconnected for it to completely reset
