1995 SWB 1500 Single Cab 318 Should I Buy?
I am looking to purchase this truck.
1995 SWB 1500 318 auto.
Motor and trans just rebuilt with warranty
Hood is black (Fenders clear coat flaking)
Tinted Windows
New Tires
K&N Injector Kit
Cold AC
Hot Heat
$2000 OBO What do yall think?

Doesn't look too bad, BUT, hood is black? Maybe had a fire?(and replaced it) Check it real good man. And anytime I see a truck with oversize tires on it, the first thing that comes to mind is , beat on.

looks like it lifted a little because 2wd sit a little lower
the thing is with 94-95 dodge have egr valve and a 46rh trans... also if you want to add a tuner a chip you have alot less to choose from. headers need egr port.
if you are going to buy i would hit the price down a little

Yeah I am right there with you on the tires. I am not sure with the hood I think I will ask him though obviously he will not tell me if it was a fire. I have seen it in person it looks fair. I probally would not be looking at it but with the motor and trans and the warranty its caught my intrest. I can go back to normal tires. I am not sure if its lifted or not.
I am a part time mechanic so mechanically I will have no problems however I have never owned a dodge so I am not sure on typical problems. I have been reading on the forum for almost 3 hours now so I am learning. Yes warraty is transferable.
On the + its a florida truck so absolutly no rust what so ever.

hmm what i wonder is WHY is only the hood a different color? I agree that there may be fire damage, or something else, but if other components of the truck were damaged in an accident, wouldnt those components be a different color too? Why did he cheap out on just the hood? I don't know that sounds a bit odd to me, but the price doesnt seem bad and it looks sweet, same color as my first ram!
