Hahaha Nice guys. xD I just might keep it off. If it does kill my mpg even more, then I will replace, but I won't know till I do a few tanks of gas. I do hate it there when driving on a snow bank or some thing, gets in the way.

it's there for aerodynamics.

It redirects the wind over all those odd surfaces on the underside of the truck.

I've seen controlled test that suggest its good for about 0.8 mpg.
