Not to be the party pooper here, but I believe the song is "When I feel the snakebite enter my veins..."

Depending on the other upgrades you made to your engine, it may affect your towing a little. If you look at The Fastman's page, he recommends the 50mm for towing on a 5.9L because, I believe, if you haven't made many other upgrades to your engine, the 52mm will take away a bit of your bottom end, which is obviously bad for towing. Now, if you have (or will) make further upgrades to your engine, the 52mm is the better choice, because it will compliment future upgrades nicely and you'll get that little bit of bottom end back plus some.

Honestly though, I have what few bolt ons that are in my sig (before the 3815 tuner), and I didn't notice any loss of low end by the 52mm.

As far as mileage goes, you'll probably get the same you do now. Normally, it'd increase your mileage a tad, but you won't be able to keep your foot out of it when you feel the better throttle response. Trust me, I couldn't.

I recall being told by Dan Arcand that the stock TB on the 5.2's was 50mm coned to 48mm. The stock TB on the 5.9 was something like 52mm coned to 50mm. Dan machines them to be either 50mm top to bottom or 52mm top to bottom, no cone. There are also 2 part numbers for TB's in the Mopar catalog, possibly due to these two different sizes.

So, if Dan is right, I could use a 360ci. throttle body instead of buying a fastman 50mm?

I disagree, they are exactly the same. Any place you look it up , it gives you the same part # for both 5.2 and 5.9. If they were different, companies like Fastman would only have the upgrade for the 360.
