my uncle has a 2003 ram 1500 5.9 and his air just stopped working. i dont mean just air either. no matter what position the air is on nothing blows. no heat. no air. no regular air even with just the vents open. it happened overnight. any ideas on the problem? he really doesn't want to take it to the stealership.

 

this may sound a little dumb, but have you checked all the fuses for A/C and blower(dash and under hood). alot of times the blower fuse will blow or a wire will come off and you'll get nothing out of climate controls.

 

yeah we checked all the fuses. that was what i thought it was but it wasnt.

 

try pulling your blower moter out and conecting it to 12V. basically as a stand alone. no switch just 12V power. if it doesn't turn then there's your problem if it does work i'd start checking to make sure you don't have a short in the wires somewhere.
