I broke down and finally took it to an electrical mechanic so well see what happens

Check fuse 12 in the junction box in the cab. It feeds all of that stuff. If the fuse is good, then check to see if you are getting power to the fuse block. Make sure you put the key in and turn it to on. Use a meter to read the voltage on each side of the the block. One will be ~0V (since the fuse is removed and is not there to pass the current/voltage) and the other side should read ~12V. If you're not getting power there... look further upstream (fuse 1 in PDC).

well I took it to him and it cost me 15 bucks but its working now. apparently it was the iod fuse or something like that. I guess I must have missed that one when I was checking them

Glad you got it fixed and the mechanic seemed reasonable... and didn't rip you off.

The IOD fuse is Fuse 12 in the junction box.
