Default thanks

Thanks everyone. We did the whole turning the steering and watching. It looks like I need some sway bar bolts. It's a start anyways. Thanks everyone

OMG, $204 for a steering stabilizer and install? Do not go there any more. Do the best you can to try and find the prob. yourself.

And btw , I highly doubt it's the sway bar bolts. You can completely remove the sway bar and it not going to wobble or vibrate. Since the work you had done have you checked the lug nuts? Just to be on the safe side.

I agree with the zman, the sway bar links will not cause or even aid to the front end shaking (although they may still be due for replacement). I removed my sway bar years ago and have never had death wobble... hell, I could barely tell I removed it (except for the much added flex on the trails ).

Yea my sway bar was off for a few days and it never did it, the sway bar will move around alot anyways. I say track bar or tie rod ends.......my ball joints are bad and my truck still wont do it, but if that track bar gets even 1 turn loose, my truck is doing the d a m n shake, rattle and roll all over the f'in road lol

Unless you are having a prob where the trac-bar mounts to the axle, I don't see how tightening it will help. The trac-bar goes bad at the ball and socket end, and no amount of tightening it is going to help.

Actually since mine has a lift its the track bar drop bracket (bracket between frame and trackbar for the lift), that bolts to the frame works its self loose, so good point man. He prolly doesn't have a lift so wouldn't have the same problem I am having.

Haha yea I need to get around to that, but right now I gotta pull my tranny out, rebuild it, put that back in, find what freeze plug is leakin anti-freeze, and replace ball joints.

I sold my truck to a guy in september, and just bought it back last week and trying to catch up on the work that he neglected to do

Anyways man I guess I would lean toward tie rod ends? or make sure track bar is not bad.

I got the new sway bar bushings. I'm putting them on today. I hope it works. But I figured I best do it myself. So I don't keep getting $200 and something bills and it not getting fixed. It cost me $100 for the bushings and bolts. Probable over $200 if I would have taken it to a garage. Even if it don't work. They look like need changed.
