I would agree with you, but its really just pointless all of it.

You are just advancing the timing thats really about it, a few degrees. Ok, maybe 5, maybe 10 ponies. Not much, definately not enough to really notice a difference. If you have some more modifications it would be more worth the money to have the a:f changed but you wouldnt catch me dead spending anything more than $50 to get my timing bumped and my rev limiter raised (which is still pointless on a stock truck).

Having the software on a computer is a dangerous prospect if you dont know what you are looking at and how one thing effects another.

Spend the money elsewhere.

Gears don't add power, that's true. But they sure do feel like they added a whole bunch.

I don't even want to remember the way my truck lugged it's sad self around with stock tires and 3.55 gears.

4.10's and stock tires FTW!!!!

That they do

BTW, I still have an unused freshly rebuilt posi unit for a 9.25 and a new out of the box 4.10 motive gearset to go with it along with an install kit that I am selling for $250 for everything. Total cost was like $450 for everything.

Indyramman I have a question for you I have the stock 3.55 and I think it's a 4.10 in the front would I have to get a new gear for the front like a 4.56? I have an 01 1500 4x4 5.9 auto.

Well you guys are talking about gears so

I got 20" rims with 35" tires. The stock gears(Not sure what they are, But not LSD) And stock suspension

What do you guys recommend for gears.

I want better acceleration, dont really care bout gas. just acceleration

I dont remember off hand but i think they might be 12.50 tires. But i have not looked in awhile and have been looking for new rims and tires, but probably wont buy(want a lift instead)

The cheapest and speed gain you can do to our trucks is...and this mean cost vs return...push it on top of a hill put it in neutral and lift off the emergency brake and let is roll down the hill!

Promising you will get the best mpg EVER!!

Haha just playing and welcome the forum...almost all the mods have already been mentioned.

I like the way you think

With a 35" tire you want 4.56 gears, it will give about 3.76 final
33s same gears give about 4.01 final
