sounds like it might be from a freeze plug on the back of the block, or head ? is there one in the head? those will be damned hard to see and replace. if its in a really hard to get to place i'd put a whole tube of rtv all over it and hope for a miracle.

If i'm not mistaken, there are also 2 freeze plugs on the back of the block behind the flywheel. The only way to get to them would be to take the trans out and spin the flywheel a little bit to get between it. I could be wrong, but I think I remember seeing this when removing, installing, removing again, installing again, removing once again, and installing once again my transmission over the last 2 months.

I'M HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM MAN!!! drips from the back of the motor off the bellhousing. I have a spare engine I will see if there is any freeze plugs on the back of the engine but I didn't think there was. I overheated my truck and herd a "pop" and its been leakin ever since, so there might be one back there I will check. Maybe some radiator stop leak could seal it up???

I had a coolant leak from a freeze plug that leaked back to the exact same spot. check the bottom of the block.
