Default oil sending unit

I am having trouble with my oil pressure dropping when I come to a stop but then goes back up when I give it some gas. The guy at the auto parts store said oil sending unit. any one have any other thoughts or experience. I also became 3 quarts short and filled it up but still have the same problem but there are no signs of leakage or burning any thoughts?

Sounds like your problem is a leak somewhere. Have you checked the plenum yet for an oil leak? I think if you run your oil too low for a while that it will ruin the oil pressure sending unit. It is kinda a pain in the @$$ to replace too. It is on the very back of the engine on the passenger side near the distributor.
