Default Hinge Pins

My driver side upper door hinge is screwed up. I went and bought replacement pins and bushings. So my plan is to support the door and knock the pin out and replace with the new one, or does the whole door need to be removed? Any help would be great. Thanks

I replaced mine with the door on, but it was a PITA. It would have been alot easier if I removed it. And I don't know what brand pins you bought, but, if you got the HELP! ones, I had to buy 2 blister packs, as only one pin in each pack was the right size.

I'm glad I checked before I did the install. Open the door and check before you take it apart.

Looks like the top one has the larger pin and the bottom is a smaller one which I have in the blister pack. Does the bottom of the old pins need to be grinded off? Looks like a hassle to try and knock them out with a hammer.

Both my pins were the long ones. But, anyway, I used a 1/4" right angle grinder and just cut them in half and knocked them out. And like I said, it would be easier to take the door off, if you have some help of course.
