Question OBD1 --> OBD2 conversion...possible? What's involved?

Needless to say I'm finding myself a little jealous of the OBD2 guys and the apparent sky is the limit options as far as engine tuning while maintaining complete computer adaptability.

I'm interested in finding out what it would take to do a conversion and whether it is feasible. If there is anyone out there who has done this I'd be most interested in any advice they'd be willing to share, ie parts list such as computer, wiring harness etc., cylinder heads...whatever. Maybe there is a kit or a site that specializes in this.

I'm getting suggestions from places like KRC and B&G Chrysler for some $600 OBD1 computer flashes and workarounds I could do but figure at some dollar point it makes sense to just convert the darn thing to OBD2 and liberate myself from these bonds.

Please edumacate me!

Did you contact SCT about their tuners and if they will run obdI?
Not cheap (same price getting quoted) but will work much better and can be reflashed without sending in the pc if you increase performance levels. Try contacting hemifever over at dodge--talkdotcom he maybe able to help. He will reflash for free if minor changes and you buy from him.

No sir, I have not. I will look into the SCT and contact hemifever to see what he says. Thank you very much, again, for the lead RM_Indy. I heart internet chat forums.
