Default 3/4 ton calipers on 1/2 tons

Hey im wondering if any body as tired to put the 3/4 ton calipers on the 1/2 tons and does it work or are the rotors diff size so it wont work.

i think they're different sizes, since the 2500 is a dana 60 and the 1500 is the dana 44. you might be able to put 01 calipers on it, as they are dual piston. i've heard it discussed, but have no personal experience. 2000 model might also be dual piston, i'm not sure, you could check the application guide at the parts store. you might need the caliper mounts too. idk.

In 2000 they went to the two piston calipers. They changed knuckles on the 3/4 ton. Im sure the did on the 1/2ton as well to fit the bigger calipers.

yea i just looked at advance auto parts.com and they are 2 piston designit says they come with mounting bracket. i wonder if they will fit on older models are the rotors any bigger. Im jsut trying to get my truck 2 stop better
