Ok, so last night we made a deal. My dad bought a camper. Its a 20(ish) foot 1998 Jayco Eagle. We bought it from the original owner who only slept in it twice. It is imacculate on the inside, and in the back, he included 2 brand new leather and suede chairs in the back. Its got Brand new tires, too. This all for a price of $4800!!! Amazing Deal!!!
So, now we got to get Purpl ready to tow this thing. The owner (now former owner!) included a weight distrubiting hitch with the camper. All we have is a factory hitch on the back.
Here is a list:
Mopar 7-wire Hitch Wiring
Brake Controller (which one?)
Trans Temp Guage (still undecided on which one)
Tranny Cooler (How Big?)
Amsoil tranny fluid
Deep pan maybe?
Mirrors?
Air Bags?
Anything else?
We are going to pick this thing up in a couple weeks (gotta wait for tax returns!) so, I will have pics then!

Chit man, what kind of hills are you planning on pulling that camper up, and air bags for a 25 foot camper? id go with Hellwig 2500 lb overloads, much cheaper, and easy install [i did the install with my tires still on the truck]
it just rides a little stiffer now, but im used to driving tractors, and chit like that
but its your truck, and i hope you [or your parents] have the cash to fund all the work you want to do

Yeah, I know. I would love to tow it home in Purpl, but I don't have a brake controller.

Don't get those dash pods, you'll hate them. Take the time and install them on the pillar, you like it much better.
I have a Mag Hytec 727-DD pan I've been waiting to install. It's freaking huge. not something you'd probably want if you were wheeling.
Probably cost me about 1 MPG from the wind it's gonna catch.
