CEL codes...What should I replace?
yep, same plug.....i actually got #37 code today but it went off and hasnt been back yet......for the surge, its probably your idle air control or throttle position sensor......mine surges a little after its warmed up, i relaced the idle control and that didnt fix it, so im gonna try the tps next........go on this thread of mine and send a pm to montec, hes a trans guy.......

That stopped the surgin that you had before without changin your TPS? The surgin had went away after I was in there movin wires around to get to the EGR valve but did it again here today but not near as bad, seems like only time I have trouble with it wantin to die is when I come to a stop and I go to put it in reverse while still havin my foot on the brake. Take my foot off the brake and give it gas, or put it in neutral and it will rev slightly and go back to idle. TCC solenoid maybe?
well, mine would only surge after it was warmed up and it wouldnt do it constantly......havent drove it enough to tell if its gone or not.......my truck had the TCC code too and it went away after doing the plug wires, did you try that yet?
yesterday after installing the headers it was runnin like crap, i thought it was gonna die going to and from work........i think maybe it was sensing something was wrong so it wouldnt let the tcc lock up and thats why were gettin that code, but thats just a guess

well I changed the wire routing and still am gettin the code, guess I'll run it to a trans shop and have them plug in another tc solenoid and see if that clears the code before I dump too much money into replacing parts that are still good. I've noticed that after its warm it will want to die while its in P or neutral and givin it a little gas brings it back alive. Would that most likely be the IAC valve you think?
IAC was completely carboned over with chunks. Replaced it, then cleaned the TB best I could without takin it off and runs a lot better, but still has a tendency to want to drop rpms and chug then die at stop signs or while sittin in park after it has warmed up. But...if I shut the truck off and turn it back on immediatey it clears itself up for a period of time...WTF? Also, how do you reset the PCM that a lot of people talk about doin after changing parts? ON a side note...I got the pleasure of changing upper and lower ball joints on the rig a few days ago. they were dry as a bone and fell apart when I removed the spindle from the housing...I'd say they were well overdue for bein replaced.
