if you lift, you would have to lengthen the DS, unless replaced the original with one that is too long. but as far as i know, the 5" kit doesnt require DS mods, but maybe because its a short wheelbase it will.

Talking '94 1500 Mods

Ok , looks like you got youself a good deal on a lifted rig..... With a parts truck !! Ask yourself what you wanna do with it ?? If you wanna actually WHEEL IT stay around 5 " - 7"to clear 37 -38'S, all suspension , no POS body lifts. The Ram will Amaze you in that trim. With a rear Locker or ever a stock Limited slip diff and a Cable actuated Posi lock for the front diff That Dodge will go a LOONG way! If you wanna just drive around on the road and try a get chicks? well do what ever you feel looks cool!
I've owened A '94 1500 like the one you wanna get , and All I can say Is It was the best ,and smartest thing to get when I was 20 years old. Its no longer a Daily driver, but a weekend warror!! And still going strong. If ya need any advice I may have an answer for ya .

Depends. Tires play a huge difference in winter driving, as does weight.

I run 4 80 pound bags of sand in the back of my truck right over the rear axle with A/T's, and it does great. My truck isn't lifted, though.

Obviously mud terrains won't be as good as studded snow tires. But still, you can get around. Just remember to drive a lot more careful. No need to show off your fancy truck to anybody (well, except us of course).

ok will do i'll keep that in mind, i just cant figure out why the drive drive shaft needs to be shortened unless the other transfer case that was put it was longer than stock and you would have to shorten the drive shaft to accomidate for that, but im countign down the days to get it saturaday if everything works out =D
