Help, can't get axle nut off...
truck shop or tire shop that handles trucks = 1" impact wrench = 1000 lbs torque = success. take a new nut with you in case. you're going to want to replace that one anyway. don't kill yourself trying to do it manually.
while your spraying pb blaster, spray the 2 big bolts on the caliper mounts and the 3 12 points on the back of the hub. those bastards are tight too.

I half expected a crude picture posted with that remark...

Changed mine 2 wks ago. 3/4 drive breaker bar with a pipe and standing on it did the trick. It was all pretty rusty but wasn't that bad coming off. As others have said heat should have worked. Just keep at it, it has to come off.
I just did mine a week ago i had the same problem but instead of trying to get it off first i took the axle out because i had to replace the u joint too... but i tried the whole 3/4 bar and a pipe but it didnt work i had to use a 3/4 impact gun... a really good one... but it came right off and took minimal effort.
What do you guys think of this? I can get the axle socket through the center cap hole if I take the cap out. I leave all 4 wheels on the ground and put the socket on the nut, the breaker bar leaning against the ground. Then I drive forward "on to" the breaker bar. I will either break the nut free or drive over the breaker bar like it was a wheel boot. Think this will work?
