Hey guys, I'm trying to find out how some people have what looks like 1 piece fiberglass bumpers, that do not have that lame black trim that fades to grey.

Do they make kits that I can swap out the black plastic ones and replace with smooth fiberglass ones? I noticed some sports have it, and some of the 01's. I have a 94 sport and I just want a nice clean looking front bumper. The black is fading, and I hate having to armor-all it constantly.

 

paint the plastic with krylon plastic paint or try andysautosport.com or see if a newer sport bumper will fit on your truck

 

It's a textured plastic or abs material. It's not a smooth fiberglass look like I want. I'd like it to be smooth and gloss like the rest of the truck.

 

if you want one like this http://jcauto-ks.com/Pictures/2001%2...00%20Sport.jpg you need to buy the 96 and up (i think it might be 98) sport bumper with a 96(""""") grill for it all to fit right ... you may also need to buy/make different mounting brackets... this has been talked about on the forum so just search it ... hope that helps

 

are you talking about the sport bumper, because they are a completely different bumper that require a sport grille also.

 

That bumper is a 99-01 Sport bumper. If you want to get it you will also need the Sport-specific grille.
