Default Got a new truck....wll kind of...

Hey, got me a new project! Currently I have a 1995 Dodge 1500, reg. cab, long bed with a 360, auto, rwd. I have been looking for a 4wd ext cab, and finally got one. Bought it from our insurance auction through work. It's a 2000 Dodge 1500 ext. cab, 4x4, 360, auto, with 68k miles. There is really no body damage, the passenger door is full of rust, but other than that the body is ok. The front diff is pushed back on the driver side and bent both control arms. And with any front end hit on a Dodge, the transfer case is in two pieces. My cure for the bent control arms, is to go ahead and put a lift kit on since it is going to torn down. I am hoping the housing is not bent, but it will need a driver steering knuckle. I plan on putting in new ball joints, axle seals, and fluid any reccommendations on that? As far as the transfer case, any pointers on changing those out? Do I need to get any new seals or gaskets? What type of fluid? Thanks.

Not sure what the truck hit, but I have seen worse. The frame isn't bent so I'm not too worried. I'll get a few more pics of the transfer case up soon.

Looks like it went off the road and hit a culvert. Before you put a lot of money into it, put it on a frame machine and make sure that side of the frame is not bent.

Looks like how mine was a few years ago. My dad was driving behind a Hyundai one day. He opens the center console, and in that split-second that car turned into a road and was slowing dow. When my dad looked up the front drivers tire clipped the car, and rubbed the truck into a bridge. Purpl had almost no body damage, but the tie rods snapped off the knuckle, and the tire bent in the control arms.

The shop we took it to replaced the knuckle, track bar, sway bar, tie rods, and control arms with new Mopar parts. They could'nt get it to align because the axle was bent by a few millameters. So, now I'm running around with a '94 axle with 4.10 gears.
