I know this is an old thread - but. when I searched for the same question I landed here - so I have just replaced the front hubs on my 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 RWD pickup - the nut size is 35 MM ( i got from O'R ) and the torque is 185 FT/lbs - if your truck has over 250000 miles like mine did when I did the brakes, go ahead and do then one piece bearing/hub at the same time - also get new hub/spindle nuts - they are NOT reusable . If you catch it in time the hub should come off with very little hammering. In my case the bearing race had separated and I had to whack it a bit ( pull on one side of the hub and whack from the back of the other side ) ... I hope this helps someone ...
I know this is an old thread, but I searched for the same question and I landed here. Here is what I know. I just replaced the front hub/bearing on my 2001 Dodge RWD ( not 4WD ) 1500 SL pickup. The hub nut size is 35 mm ( I got my socket from O'R ) and the torque is 185 ft/lbs . Get new hub nuts, they are NOT reusable. The hub and bearing are one module. The new ones come with the ABS gear sensor on the back, but, they work fine for non front ABS trucks. If your truck has over 230000 miles on it like mine, when I did my complete brake job, go ahead and do the hub/bearing at the same time. If you wait until the bearing race fails ( nasty sound from the wheel when cornering ) you may have to whack the hub off with a hammer, when doing this pull outwards on one side of the hub while whacking it from the opposite side ( whacking and pulling in the same direction, outwards ) - I am terrible at typing instructions, but, I am so tired of seeing BS remarks when someone ask a simple question. I hope this helps someone ...
