I have a 2000 1500 4x4 and it does the same thing if the humidity is high enough or if it has been raining while it was parked. Probably just rust build up on the rotors and drums. After applying the brakes a couple of times it cleans the rust off the surfaces.
My 1991 Iroc daytona did the same thing during the 12 year that I owned it and it never once had a brake failure.
