Default Keyless entry

I have seen some posts with people adding Keyless entry by using dodge parts, but I was curious if the 1996 Rams had that as an option? I have the build sheet to my truck and it has a bunch of packages listed, but I can't find what are included in the package to see if this one came with a keyless entry option? I want to try this before I buy an after market one.
Thanks

Default RE: Keyless entry

When I bought my truck used, it had pwr locks but no remote. I wanted the remote start option added to it. The keyless entry was only $50 more so I got both for $185. The remote start is GREAT! When I get out of the shower in the morning, I just push the button and by the time I get dressed and have a quick breakfast it's all warmed up and ready to go. Don't know where you live but a couple of weeks ago we had an ice storm followed by 2 inches of snow at work. I walked by the window where I could see my truck, started it 15 mins before quitting time, and later after work while everyone else was scraping snow and ice, I just jumped in my truck and left.

You might want to consider the dealer price of keyless entry vs. what you can get in after market goodies. JMHO

I just priced out some keyless entry and remote starters at JcWhitney, less then $100, not too bad. I may just go that route, thanks.
