pull the motor and do a nice cam swap. with 3k you could do everything right. screw the bolt-ons.

what gears do you have? 4.56's would be nice too.

Small blower is best bang for the buck.

Mine is getting rebuilt right now.

That's the one thing I won't do personally. I did a 700R4 for my corvette years ago, and I'll never do it again. Auto transmissions suck to work on.

I swapped a 6spd stick into the vette last winter. I'll keep the truck auto however because I do a lot of towing and plowing.

thanks for the suggestions guys... I've been torn where to through the money... I was thinking about the fastman this morning when I got up and then getting the superchip tuner as well... I was thinking about having the tranny rebuild/adjusted because it is starting to act funny when shifting from 1st-2nd... it goes into 2nd.. but then drops down to first for some reason... but I think I'll be doing to following for sure

Brakes, Shocks, Tint, Fastman, Superchips, Plugs, Fix Vacum Leak, Fix driver's door, Tranny service, change all fluids, and maybe a new set of rubbers, hidden strobes

I drive anywhere from 30,000- 50,000 miles a year for work... so every spring I like to get the truck "sittin pretty" before the season starts. I'm not too much worried about getting crazy power.. but I like a little more than stock (no forced induction) I also Have the 285's with 3.55 gears.. so I know just changing the setting with superchips is going to make a big difference, but if anyone has any other bright ideas.. let me know!

Well it sound like its time for a rebulid for your trans. Tint is cheap you can do that your self I did it looks ok but will soon be getting in redone. superchips are like 300 with shipping shop ebay. I would fix that door and since you drive so much change all of the fluids. And buy the strobes. Got to cover your a$$ on the highway. Get the ones that whelen make not the recons. Whelen is one of the better light company. Theres a few 6 strobes one ebay there not a bad deal.

yep, sounds like you better spend some money on the trans if it is acting funny. and with driving that many miles i donnt think i would go with 4.56's either.

donnt exxpect big gains out of the fastman. i mean it is a pretty good mod .but it is nothing like the superchip 3815(my favorite so far), or the harland sharp 1.7's.

and it sounds like you have a nice list there too. all the stuff you mentioned is a great idea.
