I have a 2001 5.9L Dodge 1500 4x4, automatic. It needs a new transmission. I am looking to gain more towing power. I am willing to make minor upgrades to the engine, but I want to start with getting a transmission. Any suggestions on a transmission? I am clueless as a mechanic.

 

How much are you willing to spend? You can have it cheap, you can have it fast or you can have it tough ... but not all three at once.

 

ahh yes the old "cheap, fast or reliable" thats a good rule to live by, im going to that thread, lol
