My 01 ram has a clear ring around the ignition where you put the key in and Im pretty sure this is supposed to light up right? If so mine has a burned out bulb or something. So my question, does it light up? When does it light up, when the headlights are on, or maby when the doors are opened? And How do I go about replaceing the bulb in there?

Mine has this also but I'm pretty sure it doesn't light up either I remember thinking I thought it should and it didn't look like it did so I assume it is supposed to be this way. Mine is also a 01.

ok good to know, Im not to sure why it wouldent though, it definatly looks like it should and it does in some vehicles, wish mine did

 

My 97 lights up, but that may be diff in model years.
