Default Question about 14x3 air cleaner

I have 90% completed the install when I noticed my pass. side PCV is routed over to the driver side and goes into the kegger. Why coulden't I put a T-
fitting in the hose and plug the driver side into it. Woulden't I be able to eliminate needing a valve cover vent this way?

I just went out to make sure and it leaves the valve cover and crosses behind the TB and enters the kegger below and left of the brake booster.

I've seen some other trucks that had the PCV on the driver side instead of the pass. Not sure why. I guess you could put a T in it. Not sure if the pressures from wach side might conflict with each other though. I guess you could even run a second PVC into the other side of the intake too.

My PCV is on the drivers side, the breather tube that runs to the airbox is on the passenger side rear

I'm not sure exactly what you're attempting to do, but I'll tell you what I know:

A PCV valve won't work in reverse. The pintle stays closed until adequate pressure builds up to open it and let the gas escape. if you put one in the fresh air side, it'll just stay closed and allow gas to build up in the crankcase as the pintle won't ever relax to let the gas flow thru.

The fresh air side lets fresh air in when the PCV opens to expel blowby and keeps the crankcase pressure stable. You don't want to defeat this system, but you can swap the PCV and fresh air side of the valvecovers from driver's to passenger side and vice versa, just don't put them on the same side.

I wasen't sure if the pcv valves were opened by vaccum or crankcase pressure. If it were vaccum one would think it would open both valves and pull the fumes into the intake at the same time. But if were crankcase pressure I could see where they could work against each other and possibly hold one or the other closed. It just looked like you could tie them in at one point and go on. I'll leave well enough alone and put the breather in it. I don't need to learn the hard way on this one. Thanks.

They do work on vacuum. But the idea is to get a crossflow through the CC to pull bypassed explosive gasses out. They used to use a "Road Draft Tube" that vented the CC to the atmosphere. You don't need a valve to vent gasses ... it's there in case of backfire. The valve slams shut, keeping your engine from grenading.
