I'm looking for a work pickup, that has stiffer springs than my 1/2 ton and won't make my wife homicidal if I scratch. I've been looking at 3/4 and 0ne tons built around the turn of the century. Some of these have the v10 engine. What should I look for and be wary of with these trucks? Mileage isn't a big issue because I won't be going far.

 

the only thing that sux with these motors is the gas mileage!!! i have a 2001 2500 4x4 ext cab long bed v10 and i get bout 8-9 in the city and bout 10-12 on the highway if i stay under 90!!!
